Statuses
Practising
Refers to registrants who are entitled to practice dental hygiene in the province of New Brunswick.
Non-Practising
Refers to registrants who are not currently active in their practice and have been granted a non-practising registration. Non-practising registrants are not entitled to practice dental hygiene in New Brunswick under this registration category.
Temporary
A registrant, in good standing, who is registered in another Canadian jurisdiction outside of NB, who intends to provide clinical educational services for a specific purpose and for a limited period.
Designations
Practising licence with local anesthesia designation
A practising licence granted to a dental hygienist who has successfully completed an approved local anesthesia module or as part of their educational program.
Practising licence with self-initiation designation
A licence issued to a dental hygienist who has successfully completed a self-initiation module or equivalent approved by Council. This granted designation allows a dental hygienist to practice independently without direct supervision of a dentist.
Restrictions/Conditions
If there are any restrictions or conditions on a registrant’s practice, they will be listed here.
Disciplinary Action
If a disciplinary action against a registrant has been ordered for publication, it will be listed here either indefinitely or for the duration specified by the NBCDH Discipline Committee.
It is each registrant’s responsibility to ensure their information is accurate. Registrants can update their information through the profile update located on the registrant portal.
